Can anyone Trump Trump?

Donald Trump is sucking all of the air out of the room. What I mean by that is he continually grabbing headlines and the complete attention of the press corp. And there is a one person that is hugely benefiting from Trump’s ‘shoot from the hip talk’ – and that is Hillary Clinton. As long as Trump is grabbing the headlines, she doesn’t have to worry about questions about Benghazi, destroying emails, white water, and every other scandal in her resume. Instead of criticizing Donald Trump, she should be sending him a thank you letter. Perhaps Mr. Trump would serve his presidential bid better if he turned his sights on Ms. Clinton and her shortcomings to being President.

Income Inequality

Well, another Presidential election is upon us -- and the battle cry from the left this election season will be “income inequality”. The Old NCO has been thinking about what that term means – specifically, what it means when we hear it from the likes of Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama or Bernie Sanders. Income Inequality sounds like such a bad thing. It evokes images of the poor and downtrodden masses struggling to survive while a small group of super rich people enjoy life to the fullest. That’s why it’s an easy sell to the uninformed, mindless droves of liberals. The leadership of the elite left teach their minions that rich people, especially conservative rich people, are evil. They would have you think that these rich people’s idea of fun is to throw rolls of quarters as hard as they can from the balconies of their penthouse apartments at groups of small hungry children in the street below begging for money to buy food. So how would Hillary and company fix income inequality? Well, it’s what Barack Obama stated when he ran for President in 2008 in that he would “spread the wealth around”. It’s better known as redistribution of wealth – that’s where the government uses taxes to take from the rich and give it to the poor. The problem is who decides when there is enough redistribution accomplished to give us enough income equality? Hillary? Bernie? Do you continue to punish those who believe in Capitalism so you can promote the tenants of Socialism until everyone in America has the same income and wealth? For those that think this is a good idea, I hate to be the bearer of this truth – if you want to live in a country where everyone has the same amount of money and wealth, it already exists. Just pack up your stuff and move to North Korea.

On the 7th of May, there was an election in the United Kingdom to elect members to the 56th Parliament. The results would determine if Liberals would take over power from the Conservatives in the U.K. In America, the liberal press was watching. All of the polls indicated that the Liberal party would unset David Cameron’s conservative majority in the House of Commons. I’m sure all of the good socialist at CNN were drooling over the possibility of the Conservatives losing power and the rise of Liberal Democrats as the ruling party as a precursor to our own Presidential election next year. There were high hopes for Hillary and the Democratic party recouping the losses from their failed policies in America. But then the results started coming in. And the Conservatives were victorious. I’m sure you could have heard a pin drop in the liberal press rooms all across America. In fact, you heard very little from America’s liberal press about the election in the U.K. after the Conservatives won.

A Real Hillary Town Hall Meeting

It appears Mrs. Slick Willie has taken a new approach to campaigning for the 2016 Democratic Nomination for President, and that is if your record is so full of lies, deceit, illegal activity, and allowing the murder of Americans on foreign soil, that it’s better to just keep your mouth shut. Hillary’s MO is to fill any town hall meetings with pre-selected attendees with pre-approved “soft-ball” questions. So, I was wondering how a real town hall meeting would go with real people and real questions. The below is how the old NCO thinks it would go….. Question: Mrs. Clinton, how do you explain you left four Americans die at the hands of terrorist in Benghazi when they were pleading for reinforcements? Hillary: Well, as you know, President Obama was running for re-election, and since part of his campaign speech was that “Al Queda is On The Run”, helping to save those Americans didn’t play into our narrative. So we invented the You Tube video story to cover our foreign policy failures. Not sending aid to those four American who were killed by Al Queda, while tragic, you can take comfort they gave their lives in helping to re-elect a Democratic President for four more years and set me up to run for President in 2016. Question: How do you explain breaking federal law and maintaining a personal email server in the basement of your home to send/receive official government communication while you were Secretary of State, and when asked by Congress for the emails, you claim they ‘Got Erased’? Hillary: Well, frankly, those emails contain a whole lot of incriminating evidence. If my correspondence as Secretary of State had been made public, as Federal law requires, it would not only be very embarrassing, but it may even get me indicted and prosecuted for crimes. Question: So, on these two issues alone, how to you expect to elected President? Don’t you think the press will crucify you? Hillary: (Laughter), that won’t be a problem. The press, with the exception of those kooks at Fox News, is on our side and if we need a little pay for play, there’s plenty of money in the Clinton Foundation coffers to line the pockets of the press. While the above exchange between potential voters and Mrs. Clinton will never take place, the Old NCO can still dream.

Liberal Liers

Whenever there is some horrific tragedy, you can count on the looney left to find a way to blame Republicans no matter how false their claims. Liberals subscribe to the theory that if you repeat a lie enough times, their brainless supporters will begin to parrot their lies as the truth. Enter Amtrak Northeast Regional Train No. 188, headed to New York from Washington yesterday carrying 238 passengers. Train 188 derails near Philadelphia, killing seven and injuring over 200 – a tragedy for sure. Reports are the train was travelling over 100 MPH going into a turn where maximum speed was 50 MPH. However, that didn’t stop the liberal liars. Their propaganda started from the Commie from California, Nancy Pelosi, who stated the Amtrak wreck was a result of Republicans not supporting additional funding for Amtrak. We all know the Democrats answer to everything – spend more money on it, But, last I remember, the United States of America is 18 Trillion dollars in debt, but Liberal Democrats capacity to ignore financial reality knows no bounds as long as it advances their Liberal agenda.

The Times, They Are A Changin'

Today, this won’t be some rant against the liberal extremist. I want to talk about something else – and that’s cable TV. I remember when my parents got our first TV. In fact, it was one of the first TVs in the little community I grew up in smack dab in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains. It was a heavy metal box with a small black and white screen. For its day and age, it was high tech. Problem was we only got one channel. That was due to the mountains blocking TV signals from the ‘over the air’ antenna we had mounted on the roof of the house. (I needed to explain that should anyone under the age of 40 be reading this). Then the mid-1970s brought us Cable TV. This new technology got mixed reviews. I remember people saying, why would I pay for TV when I can get it for free over my antenna? Well, as we all know, the answer to that question is entertainment content. We only got one station on our metal box, and if the programming you wanted to watch wasn’t on NBC, which was the channel we got, you just didn’t see it. That’s why as a child, I was deprived of such classics as the Beverly Hillbillies and My Mother the Car. But eventually Cable TV matured and grew into the billion dollar industry it is today. Today, we receive more channels than we can ever watch, and consider our cable or satellite service as essential as the electricity or water coming into our homes. We could not imagine life without it. So, compared to getting one channel in the 1960s, I now pay for more content than I can ever watch, and am forced to buy what the cable or satellite sells me in ‘packages’. – Well, that’s all about to change. Even though I’m a baby boomer, and kind of stuck in my ways, I’m astute enough to notice the behavior of generations who came after me, and their attitudes about how and when they want entertainment content. And that attitude is this - I only want what I want to watch and only when I want to watch it. That pretty much describes what the internet provides. From the day that Al Gore invented the internet (I just had to say that) I always believed someday there would be a merger, for lack of a better term, between the TV screen and the PC monitor. I believe that day is soon upon us. This was reinforced to me last night when I totally turned off my DirecTV receiver and used the Smart TV option on my Samsung TV and watched ‘over the internet’ programming all evening. Now, I’m not running out and dumping DirecTV, because it does deliver content I can’t currently get through any other means – and that involves a certain NFL football team that is 1500 miles away from where I live – but that’s another story. However, for the average TV viewer, the day is very near where we will receive our entertainment content via the internet and the will be “Unhooking” from our current entertainment content companies such as Time Warner, Comcast, and DirecTV. These companies will be replaced by internet only entertainment content companies such as NetFlix, Hulu, Amazon and Crackle. The only thing holding back the entertainment content internet industry is bandwidth. You can only shove so many ones and zeros through the pipe at one time, but once that issue is resolved, through new technology or infrastructure, your days of flipping through 1000 channels of crap you never watch to find the one program you want to watch will be over. God I love technology.

Timing is Everything

Without doubt taking instruction from the White House, the steaming sack of California Crap, Diane Feinstein, released a Democrat Intelligence (there’s a contradiction in terms) Report about the horrific atrocities committed by the evil Dick Cheney and George W. Bush after the 9-11 attacks against terrorists held at GITMO to obtain information that has helped keep American safe. What no one really noticed is that there isn’t one Democrat that really gives a shit about what was done to detainees at GITMO. This heavily biased report was released yesterday for the sole purpose to over shadow Doctor Johnathan “Goober” Gruber’s testimony before a House Oversight Committee who grilled the idiot architect of Obamacare on his admitted tactics of non-transparency and the stupidity of the American public to get the failed socialist health care plan passed into law. Sadly, the Democrat’s strategy worked. All major news networks’ lead story yesterday was about the Democrat Intelligence Report on torturing terrorist instead of the House Oversight Committees grilling of Gruber - sparing the White House further embarrassment. As usual, Democrats continue to follow the Obama Doctrine of Politics First, America Second -- no matter what the cost. After all, what are a few more dead Americans? To use the words of Hillary Clinton, “what difference does it make?”
